Coffee Date

If we were having coffee I’d tell you I’ve been watching a lot of the Olympic coverage. Like it’s been on so much that my kids have had not choice but to embrace it. They ask to watch Bob the Builder and I’m like, how about Bob the skier? No? Too bad! Speaking of the Olympics, have you see this post showing some of the figure skaters best faces during competition? It’s good for a laugh.

Jimmy Fallon began his first week as the host of the Tonight Show on Monday. He kicked off the week with Will Smith as his guest and when I woke up 12 hours later this video had already gone viral. It’s epic! Every time I watch it, there are tears I’m laughing so hard. I even texted it to all my Pollinate girls as a Tuesday pick me up.

Did you see this picture? I’m sorry, but it’s so great! I’m also hoping the US won and that we can truly avoid some more of that Bieber drama. His parents must be so proud.

In other news, and kinda BIG, fun news for me, I was asked to speak at Mom 2.0 Summit Conference in May! I love having the opportunity to share and teach and I couldn’t be more honored to be a part of such an incredible group of speakers. Even more exciting? My amazing VA, Skye, and I are speaking side by side teaching bloggers how to map your business/brand and hire help! All things Virtual Assistant. If you haven’t snagged a ticket, I’d love to see you there.

If we were having coffee I would tell you that Thursday was an incredible day. We spent the whole the day with part of our Pollinate team, that are local, talking, brainstorming, working hard, and of course, enjoying some yummy food. I just ordered three new cookbooks, Gwyneth’s Cookbook, Feast and Smitten Kitchen, and they arrived in time for me to test out some recipes on the team. The Sweet Onion Crack Dip from Bountiful was a huge hit, then I made the Mediterranean Turkey Burgers from Gwyneth’s Cookbook and Tarragon Skinny Fries from Smitten Kitchen. Oh man, oh man, these are going to be repeat recipes for sure!!

If we were having coffee, what would you tell me?

Coffee date was created so that we could come together each week and build up our community. The blogging community has been so incredibly gracious to me and some of my best friends have been met through these inter webs. I hope the same is true for you. Each week you’re invited to link up a vlog post or a blog post. Some weeks we have themes, others we’re just sharing what’s on our heart. We do have a couple rules tho:

1. Please link directly to your post, not to the main page of your blog.

2. Please link back to my blog so that people can come join us each week for coffee as well

3. Visit some others and encourage their hearts today.

Happy Linking!

xo, Alissa
