Candy Corn Cocktail with Virgin Option

I can’t tell you how many times I have been defeated by a Pinterest recipe post. I’m not sure if I’m the only one who has been disappointed by a fabulous picture on Pinterest, but it would be hard to believe if I am. My Pinterest boards are full of items that I will never make based on the endless and complicated ingredient lists. This Candy Corn cocktail is inspired by a Pinterest post, but without a zillion ingredients. You don’t have to go on a liquor store hunt for this one. Everything can be found at your local grocery store.

Here it is (makes one serving)

1 ounce vodka (if you have a candy flavor that’s even better)
2 ounces pineapple juice (or any yellow color juice you want)
Splash of Grenadine (this is what gives color to the bottom of the glass)
Fat free whip cream (or just the regular kind if you don’t already care that this drink has a bunch of sugar)
Cocktail shaker
Martini glasses

Directions:

  1. In a cocktail shaker add the vodka and pineapple juice. Shake until chilled and pour into martini glass
  2. Slowly add enough grenadine to separate the two colors. Don’t add too much, you want it to be even
  3. Top with whip cream
  4. If you want to make a virgin drink just replace the vodka with a colorless soda – super easy!
