Life Lately: coats, coffee and campus

November already? Campus turned every shade of orange, yellow and red this month, before the chilled wind stripped leaves from the trees and left Oregon looking like winter is practically here. Coffee and Cardigans looks a little barren too, thanks to the demands of senior year. I've been living between campus and the local Starbucks for a month. In an attempt to document my last year of college, here's life according to my Instagram:

Oregon has a beautiful fall season - the vivid colors, the crisp air and the plentiful rain showers. It's always my favorite time of the year. But since I snapped these photos, it's started to look (and feel) more like winter than autumn. Leaves are falling and I can see my breath in the air every morning on my way commute. November is almost gone, and December will be here before we know it.

That also means my last year of college is flying by. Even though I'm already working part-time in a local PR agency, senior year is all about preparation - a fresh digital portfolio, new business cards and an updated resume. The thought of graduation is overwhelming, but thrilling. I get this strange combination of glee and nausea whenever someone reminds me that graduation is seven months away. But that's probably normal, right? I hope so.

In the midst of this busy term, coffee remains a staple in my daily diet - Starbucks' caramel brulee latte, to be specific. Of course, the holiday drinks and iconic red cups also remind me just how quickly this year has gone. It's already time for the holiday season. Classes are over in just a few short weeks, but I'm already looking forward to the month-long winter break between college terms. It means time for family, friends, and lots of blogging.
