What I Wore: winterizing the maxi

A friend recently told me she'd never wear a maxi dress during winter. I bought this basic black one at H&M a few months back, but I certainty wasn't going to wait until June to wear it again! Transitioning warm weather pieces into winter can be a challenge. But thank goodness for bloggers like Kendi and her adorable outfit ideas. I added a cardigan, a thick scarf, boots, and a pair of hidden fleece leggings to combat the literal freezing temperatures that Oregon has graced us with.

This past week has really felt like winter. December is here, and the temperatures are dropping. The weather report is calling for snow. All in the midst of one very busy end to a college term. But at least I finally got to take outfit photos. It's the small things, folks. How would you style a maxi dress or skirt for winter? Let me know in a comment.
