WEEKEND BRUNCH :: THE FLYING SAUCER CAFE

Happy weekend everyone! Don't you just love Delhi, for all the new and amazing eating options that the city throws at you all the time..! Japna here, and I live to eat! Literally.

So the hubs and I love to go out on weekends (well every other weekend) to check out the new eats in town.. or to try out new menu items at old favourite haunts. And today we're suggesting you check out The Flying Saucer Cafe, at the newly opened Epicuria in Nehru Place.

Although we're not big fans of the ambience indoors, the place does offer a beautiful patio-style outdoor seating as well. If you happen to go for brunch (like we did) and you're lucky with the weather, it isn't too crowded outdoors - so you won't encounter too many youngsters with hookahs and/or cigarettes (we don't like either of the two).
We ordered up some drinks and a light snack of baby potatoes to start things off. What you see is a Ginger fizz, and a Kiwi Margherita (which was nice and potent I can assure you - very satisfactory).

The main course was ordered soon after. We were HUNGRY! Stir Fried Vegetables in a basil flavoured curry and Hakka noodles for hubs, and a sumptuous lamb burger (topped with ham 'n' all) for yours truly.
Quick note here: I'm on a quest to find the best burgers in town..

All I can tell you about the food was that the veggy fare was way better than that lamb burger.. Overall, it was good for a change, and they have an extensive menu, with options that make your mouth water. I'd wanna go sample more of their stuff.
