How My Garden Grows

Our garden is a bit crazy right now. My pumpkins decided to take over and the potato plants grew like weeds. This is the first year since I was a kid that I've had so many pumpkins grow. This year I planted sugar pumpkins in hopes of making fresh pumpkin pie and canning my own cooked pumpkin. I can't wait for the pumpkins to start changing colour.

This pepper smells like heaven. It's probably the only one that will come from the garden this year.

Do you need some basil? Because I have way too much. But man does it ever smell good.

Giant beets. I can't wait to cook these in several forms. Including beet chips.

My mom can have these. Grant and I aren't fans of tomatoes.

Fresh peas can't be beat. Frozen and canned peas ain't got nothin' on these peas.

Did you plant a garden this year? I find it very rewarding but slightly overwhelming when I have too much produce. I also tried planting watermelon this year without success. I'd love to see photos of your garden. Leave me a link!
