The return of my blog!

Well, well, well. It seems I have let my blog go by the wayside. Could it be the craziness of the school year (teaching a mere 180 students on a daily basis)as a full time teacher of Español? Could it be the busyness of a new baby (now almost 7 months old) and a 4 year old? Could it be the constant struggle to make time for me and the hubby without the kiddos? Whatever the case, I am at a place where I have realized I really MISS my blog. I miss sharing my thoughts on everything even if no one is listening! So, with that, we have the return of my blog! I intend to keep this up MUCH more regularly with posts on mommyhood, my fitness and weight loss, work and every day life. So, stay tuned! You may just learn a thing or two As for my post today I have been pondering just WHAT to write about and I think I have it. Drumroll please!!!!!!

My “soul mate workout” may not help me lose the most weight! There. I said it. I have what I consider my soul mate workout (Turbo Fire). I love the way it makes me feel and pushes me. I love Chalene Johnson and how she motivates me to do just a little bit more. I love the music. Ok, ok you get the idea. However, what I have come to realize is the 3 times I have REALLY lost a crap ton of weight in my life (once after a summer working in Cadiz,Spain), after my first son and now in progress after baby boy #2 they all have one thing in common and it isn’t my beloved Turbo Fire. No, instead it is all linked with running! Who knew? No fancy equipment (although the shoes can be pretty pricey) just me, a running play list on my ipod or phone, my tennis shoes and decent weather. I really don’t like to run when it is super hot, super cold or raining. I know, I am a wimp. I get it. Back to my point. Although I love what Turbo does for me it really feels like I get the best results when running is in there somewhere. It seriously feels like the weight just kind of falls off. Others in my life can vouch for that. I’m not saying I’m going to ditch everything else, heck no! I could never stop with Turbo Fire. However, I am saying running needs to be a constant component if I want my maximum results. My workout plan for the summer will look like this…. 3 days a week doing Chalean Extreme for my strength training and 2-3 days a week running on the trails (goal is 4 miles per run). Pair that plan with my clean eating and daily Shakeology and by fall I should be very close to my goal weight and my beloved goal jeans! I like to refer to them as my “skinny jeans”, not necessarily because they are skinny in the legs, but because I feel so skinny in them! Alright, there you have it! My confession of sorts. So,where do I go from here? Check back soon to see what I’m writing (or ranting) about!
