Review of Focus T25 Week 1

Hey ya'll! I hope your summer is in full swing and you are enjoying every minute! Mine has been a whirlwind so far. I have gotten to spend precious time with my little guys (and the littlest even started crawling!), traveled to Vegas for biz and went to a 2 day conference on grading for my full time job. I'm tired just thinking about it! On top of all of that, I decided to get my butt in gear and finally committ to a full workout program. I mean I have been doing Turbo Fire and Chalean Extreme or running over the last few years, but I can honestly say I have never gone from day 1 to day whatever in any of those programs. This time however it will be different! Shaun T, the creator of Insanity, Hip Hop Abs, Rockin' Body and Asylum, has added a new workout to his repetoir and that is Focus T25. I am IN LOVE! For real people. I have always pretty much ran in the opposite direction of a Shaun T workout. Especially after I worked out with him live at my first summit. His workouts are KILLER and just hard for me to keep up for that long. Yes, I realize if I had ever stuck with one of his programs I would have gotten better. That isn't the point. The point is I DIDN'T WANT TO. I really thought running and Turbo Fire were my soul mate workouts. Focus T25 is a different monster though and may be taking over that title. First of all, it is only 25 minutes long. Halleluijah! I am all about a short workout! Why do you think I always do the HIIT workouts from Turbo Fire or the 25 EZ, run for 3 miles etc. It is because I like to get in and get it DONE. This workout (Focus T25) doesn't disappoint or lack in difficulty. Seriously, by 2 minutes in I am feeling sweat drip down my face. I consider that success. The workout program itself has 3 phases, alpha, beta and gamma. The base package comes with alpha and beta (gamma is an upgrade). In the alpha phase the following workouts are included: speed 1.0, cardio, ab intervals, total body and lower focus. I wish I could say that one of them is "easy", but they aren't. In a weird way though I'm glad. Yep, I just said that. I love the fact I am drenched in sweat when I get done and my body is literally shaking in the areas that have just been worked. It makes me feel accomplished and in such a short period of time! As a working mom, wife and having my own fitness business it can be so hard to balance everything. Yes, I am a coach, so therefore working out is essential. I am normal though. I get distracted and unmotivated just like everyone else. It is a bit too easy to make excuses. Focus T25 is helping me in so many ways. I KNOW this is a workout I will be able to continue for the long haul. Not to mention the results I know I will get! If you'd like to follow along on my journey I am vlogging it on instagram every day! Yep, that's right, you can come check in on my DAILY to see if I got my butt in gear and did my workout. I am always starting challenge groups where I am able to give you all the support and accountability you need, along with others on the same journey! I keep my groups small so no one gets lost in the crowd! If you are ready, let's do it!!!
