Chanel Limited Edition Mouche De Beaute Illuminating Powder

I've been underwhelmed by makeup releases lately,
but there's nothing like a beautiful highlighter to snap me out of my rut. When I saw this beauty pop up on Best Things In Beauty's blog I knew I had to have it, especially since it looked kind of like Laura Mercier Rose Rendezvous and I totally missed the boat on that one. It's probably the only highlighter I ever regret not purchasing. I had been waiting patiently for it to launch on Chanel's website and it finally did.

Here is what Chanel's website say's about the product:

This exclusive creation, a precious powder in an elegant gold shade enhanced with pink highlights, delicately illuminates the angles of the face with an exquisite effect. This covetable collectable is embossed with a sumptuous decorative motif and encased in signature black ceramic. Part of the COLLECTION MAQUILLAGE CROISIÈRE DE CHANEL.

This particular illuminating powder doesn't seem gold on the skin to me. It's actually a little more beige with pink tones and quite a bit of shimmer. I don't think I would wear this during the day...well, maybe just a touch. It feels velvety soft and I could not detect a scent. It came with a sponge applicator but I find it deposits more of the shimmer particles than the actual color itself. I compared it to the Route De Indes de Chanel Illuminating powder . The Route De Indes is a lot softer and definitely a true gold and does not have as much shimmer to it.

Do you need this? I'm the wrong person to ask...I need all highlighters Chanel has to offer! It's beautiful and if you love highlighters you won't be disappointed. This item is available for purchase on Chanel's website. It's limited edition so if you like it, get it soon before it's gone!

xoxo,
Adriana
