I love eyeshadow. There’s almost always something new and exciting going on in the eyeshadow ‘field’ of products, and I can almost always generate a reason to try new eyeshadows despite knowing I have nearly every colour out there – if it isn’t a shade, it’s a finish, and if it’s not a finish, it’s a texture!
Lately I’ve been captivated by eyeshadow in two different ways:
1) It comes in pencil form (more on this later)
2) It has a duo-chrome finish
The Catrice Liquid Metal Eyeshadows all have names pun-ing on famous ROck & Roll groups and songs, and while cheesy, the creamy texture of the product, smooth application, and strong pigmentation more than makes up for the (sometimes) groan-inducing shade names!
010 Look Me in the Ice: A frosty pearlized white
020 Gold n Roses: My favourite shade, a soft pink with gold/green duochrome. I LOVE THIS SHADE. If I owned less eyeshadow I would have bought a back-up.
030 We are the Champagnes: A beautiful gold-champagne, I love this as a lid colour or all on its own.
040 Under Treasure: Old antiqued gold. I was obsessed with this shade in 2012 and it’s still one of my absolute favourite colours to buy (and wear).
050 We’re the Inner Purple: The most disappointing shadow because it applied so patchily, it’s still a beautiful metallic royal purple. I’m pretty sure this is Macnunu‘s dream bridesmaid dress colour, haha.
060 Petal Pan: Petrol blue. Lovely.
The last three shades were more satin than metallic in finish, but they are still lovely.
070 Gold Leaf Me: Khaki Green
080 Mauves Like Jagger: A mauve-purple, this has a silver sheen with the right lighting (which I clearly did not manage to find here)
090 Nougat it Right: Warm chocolate brown. This is the only shade whose inclusion I don’t really understand it but it makes a good crease colour.
