Fashion Friday: Edition nothing better than a sale price

We just got home from the road trip and I have a pile of laundry waiting for me in a couple of suitcases that are yet to be unpacked.

Also, we are working on the final demolition of our bathroom.

In other words, there’s a lot going on here.

But you know what else is going on? Lots of sales. Including the last few days of the Nordstrom anniversary sale.

Here are a few things I’ve found:

1. sam edelman pembrooke boots

I think these boots are so pretty and I’ve gone several years without a pair of black boots. But the other day I was watching Fixer Upper on HGTV (my new favorite show) and Joanna had on a pair of black boots that made me rethink my lack of black boots.

These are $129.90 but will be $189.95 after the sale ends on August 4.

2. moon and lola personalized bar pendant

I think this would be such a great signature piece to layer with all your other accessories. It’s simple and elegant and is on sale for just $44.90, but is normally $68.00.

3. whistle while you work cotton blouse

I am a big fan of plaid and have been looking for a great shirt to wear with my gray jeans for the fall. This one has caught my eye. It’s $69.90 and will be $109.90 after the sale ends.

4. embroidered bib sleeveless blouse

I don’t know that I like this by itself, but I love the thought of the green one under a jacket for fall. It’s on sale for $49.90 right now.

5. mesa peasant top

This is the perfect transitional top for fall. You can wear it with shorts now and jeans and boots later on.

6. shimmered azucar tunic

I’ve actually already ordered this for myself. I can’t really resist a white tunic and this one has great reviews. Plus, it’s on sale for $49.95. I will wear this all year round.

7. free people el mirage top

I’ve featured this top in white, but I saw it in this plumberry color and kind of love it even more. It’s on sale and I think it says “College Gameday” to me.

8. willa embroidered dress

This is cute on its own if you’re a strapless bra kind of girl with cute legs. But I kind of like the idea of it over a pair of leggings with a denim jacket on top.

9. levi’s tailored western shirt

This is another pick you can blame on Joanna from Fixer Upper. She has kind of become my unofficial style icon. I mean Princess Kate is too, but Joanna’s lifestyle is a little more reminiscent of my own. After all, it’s been years since I’ve been asked to christen a ship with a bottle of champagne.

10. embroidered bib popover

Speaking of great white shirts, this is on sale for $49.97. I typically always have success with Daniel Rainn shirts and I love the simplicity of this one because, like I’ve mentioned, I love a white shirt.
