Review: Omorovicza Thermal Cleansing Balm

I’ve been wanting to tell you about this cleansing balm. This is one that I save for once a week. It is a luxury product for sure, and that makes it all the more special. I use it before the mask which I absolutely love, and this weekly ritual is like spa at home.

When I opened the tub, I didn’t know what to expect. Look at this stuff. Looks like mud, mud and sand mixed together. I guess it’s the same as the mask, but this one is black and black makes me think of dirt. LOL! I also expected this cleansing balm to feel sandy and coarse, and I was so wrong. It is very smooth and just a bit is enough for the whole face. It smells a little like lime peel – not a scent you’d expect, and it is actually relaxing while you massage the oil into your skin. For this product, make sure both hands and face are DRY. Unlike other cleansing balms, this is more oil based. The balm will melt and on my skin, it turns into a thicker oil.

Picture below shows how much I use, and that’s more than enough for the whole face and neck. After massaging, I use a warm damp face cloth (or a muslin cloth, whatever you prefer) to wipe my face. This cleansing balm does not emulsify. I realised it’s best to use cloth, wet with WARM water. I gently wipe my face and neck in circular motion, and the cloth is tinted grey. I’m not entirely sure if it’s the balm or if I’m actually so darn dirty. I think I want to believe it’s the balm

After cleansing, my face is left soft, very soft and it feels very clean. Like I mentioned earlier, I complete the ritual by applying the deep cleansing mask. The total effect? Baby bottom soft poreless skin I bought this at Cult Beauty (non affiliated) when there was promotion. Bought both the cleansing balm and mask as a duo for a cheaper price. There was also VAT discount, so it worked out less painful for my wallet. Have you tried this Hungarian brand? I loved this when I first tried it, and I’m loving it even more now. Highly recommended!

xoxo Lily
