Sunday Stash Shopping #35: Understated Purples

I have this mini Dior eye palette forever. It’s even depotted, sitting nicely with my NARS blushes. I decided to depot the NARS blushes because the cases were getting sticky, and I had to say goodbye to Madly because I killed it. I totally blame NARS for its shitty packaging, forcing me to depot. But you know, it’s always fun to blame others than to admit that I also did a shitty job in getting the pan out. Anyhoo… For this simple look, I used the old Dior quint in Stylish Move on the eyes, NARS Orgasm as blush, and Rouge Dior Nude in Charnelle on the lips. I used Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua as base because I’m determined to use this up, and instead of using a black liner, I chose MAC Phone Number (a grey pencil).

Basically, Stylish Move is a quint of a light purple taupe, a medium purple, a dark purple, a white and a light pink. I used the light taupe on my lids, a medium purple on the outer corner before defining it further with the dark purple. After everything’s done, I used a mixture of the white and pink and dabbed it on my lids to lighten the area and increase the contrast against the darker outer corner. Here is how the eyes look.

This is a softer take on purples and soft pink, which I find is very wearable even on my yellow based skin tone. Dior Charnelle is also a soft pink lipstick that complements this look perfectly, while NARS Orgasm is a pinky peach that warms up the whole look.
