1. I randomly met a blog reader today at open gym. I’m thankful she told me, otherwise would I just assume I have stuff stuck in my braces. This has happened a handful of times and it is a lot of fun to meet people who are a part of this community.
2. We went to Quinn’s school movie night. Eleanor was so excited to go to her big brother’s school. Those kinds of things are so important for children, it helps to build community and it gives the rest of the family a peek at their world.
3. Quinn is miserably sick. We have all been fighting something for a while–runny nose there, cough here, but nothing that has really slowed anyone down. It hit Quinn like a ton of bricks. Head, throat, aches, chills, cough. He sounds absolutely awful. He looked at me with tears in his eyes and said, “mommy, I feel miserable”. I practically bought all of Walgreens. The worse was when he said, “I think I’m dying of cancer”. What if he hadn’t told me? What if he just walked around with that fear inside of him? Thank god he did!
4. We are nearing the end of October, which means it is time to start gearing up for our annual Giving Thanks tradition. This is one of my favorite family traditions–you can read about it here, here, here and here.
Kind of crazy to think we are here already. What is your favorite family tradition?
5. Saw these on NoBiggie and thought this idea was insanely cute and simple and cheap–all of my favorite things.
Happy weekend friends!
