Oh, so you want a contour blush that doesn’t have any shimmer? NARS heard you! You can haz matte and you can haz it in several shades! NARS Contour Blush ($42.00) comes in three shades – Geinah, Paloma and the lightest shade Olympia.

What Nordstrom says about NARS Contour Blush:

NARS Contour Blush features a pair of shades that work together to create natural-looking dimension for the face while giving you a beautiful luminous finish. The deeper shade enhances definition while the lighter shade illuminates the highpoints of the face.

The outer packaging is normal NARS with the ingredients listed on the back for both the left and right sides of this duo.

Inside the box is also the usual NARS rubber black compact and white print. I like to call this packaging “travel safe” because I never seem to have a problem with NARS products cracking or shattering when I take them on a random journey.

As you open up the compact there is a full size mirror on the top and a protective plastic cover over the powders so your mirror doesn’t get all dusty and unusable.

Olympia features a lighter, cream colored side perfect for illuminating the high points of the face and a rosy tan side for natural contouring. This duo is very subtle on my skin-tone (MAC NC/NW20-25 neutral), which is a relief because usually when I contour I feel like it comes off too dark or too harsh.

Formula wise Olympia wasn’t chalky at all and was easy to apply and blend into other blushes. It also looks wonderful and subtle when used alone. You can build it up if you need more color but feel like Paloma (the middle shade) is a little too much. Or, use a light hand if you feel like you might be a bit too pale for Olympia.

Below I’m wearing the Olympia duo alone on the cheeks. The eye shadow is the NARS Kauai Duo (to be reviewed).

^^^Why so serious, girl?!^^^
