Too Faced has launched two must-have palettes. Or rather, two MORE must-have palettes (because you know so many of them are on the must-have level). Too Faced A La Mode Eyes Shadow Palette & Bonjour Soleil Summer Bronzing Wardrobe are hot weather essentials to incorporate into your Summer beauty regime both for day and night.

The packaging for both of these palettes is in a parisian/nautical inspired tin that keeps the product safe during travel and is just 100% all-around adorable. Both also feature a good sized mirror and guides for getting the look.

To start off I’d like to focus on the photos, looks and review of the Too Faced A La Mode Eyes Eye Shadow Collection.

This palette comes with a handy, folded set of Get the Look ideas, just in case you need some inspiration:

There are nine shades within three looks – Day, Classic and Fashion.

For Day the three shades are St. Tropez, Cannes and Soleil. St. Tropez is a pretty sheer gold with a lot of noticeable glitter, Cannes is a warm copper pearl and Soleil is a plummy brown pearl.

For Classic the three shades are Riviera, Jardin and Cote d’Azur. Riviera is a pearly beige (my personal fave highlighter shade of the bunch!), Jardin is a peachy gold pearl.. almost duochrome looking on the eye and Cote d’Azur is a chocolate brown with a hint of bronze.

For Fashion the three shades are La Croisette, Monaco and De La Mer. La Croisette is a very pigmented frosty white, Monaco is a cool, vibrant pink and De La Mer is a navy satin.

As with almost all Too Faced Eye Shadow shades the pigment and functionality of the shadows are impeccable. They applied well, blended easily and wore all day. The one shade I really wasn’t impressed with was St. Tropez. I thought on it’s own it was really just a glitter, but it does layer nicely over the other shades, giving you the opportunity to change them up a bit.

For the eye looks below I veered away from using the Get the Look cards and did my own thing. Since the blonde has all but left my hair I’ve been into putting a dark shade all over the lid then a lighter coordinating shade in the crease. In all of the eye looks below the shades are tiered from darkest to lightest.

This eye palette retails for $36.00 and is available at Ulta. Also, at Sephora, there is a set called Pardon My French which includes this palette and some other goodies in an adorable bag for only $49.00. Is it weird I want a second palette so I can have this set?

Now for the Too Faced Bonjour Soleil Summer Bronzing Wardrobe. This trio is fantastic because it’s three of Too Faced’s amazing bronzers in one place.

Included are the Chocolate Soleil Matte Bronzer, Sun Bunny Natural Bronzer and Snow Bunny Luminous Bronzer. Sun Bunny has long been a favorite of mine since a friend introduced me to it back in my swapping days. You also get an incredibly soft Flatbuki brush.

Chocolate Soleil is a perfect contour shade for me but it’s very easy to over-do it with this one. Tread lightly, build up as needed. I usually still blend it a bit with my face powder because I can get way too excited when I apply. Sun Bunny has been reviewed by me several times throughout the life of this blog. It’s basically what would be created if Chocolate Soleil and Snow Bunny had a baby. One of the best bronzers there is in terms of blending, wear and look. Snow Bunny is really more of a highlighter to me. When you’re doing an all over bronze look to your face this makes a wonderful golden glow when used lightly. I don’t like to use this one heavily or alone because it can get a little frosty when you try to build up the pigment.

This set also contains a How-To Glamour Guide…

But, again, I just did my own thing and applied Chocolate Soleil to the hallows of the cheeks, Sun Bunny is above that but staying away from the apples of the cheeks and then Snow Bunny at the apples of the cheeks and to blend Sun Bunny at the tip of the cheek bones.

The Too Faced Bonjour Soleil Summer Bronzing Wardrobe retails for $44.00 and is available at Sephora & Ulta.

Have you picked up anything new from the recent Too Faced launches? I’m dying to get my hands on all of those Melted Lipsticks!!
