Urban Decay Perversion Mascara + Subversion Lash Primer Swatches + Review
Finally I’ve gotten my hands on the dynamic duo that is the Urban Decay Perversion Mascara and Subversion Lash Primer. Let’s start with some school. Which is, of course, the very thing you want to be doing in July. Subversion is actually defined as to cause destruction to or overthrow/ruin (I looked it up, because seriously I had no idea)… but in the mascara sense it’s the base for your Perversion. If we want to spin this and work it out, we can say that Subversion aids Perversion in the destruction of sad, droopy lashes and makes them amaze-balls. Really, Perversion does that all on it’s own, but I’ll explain that more after you look at the pretty pictures.
As you can tell, my Perversion came with a mini-Subversion, so that is how I got to test them out together. If you don’t want the sample of Subversion you can always buy Perversion alone, but note it will be the same price ($22.00).
Perversion Mascara is a deep black mascara that almost looks wet on the lashes. When used alone, two coats is all I need to get that vroom vroom va-va-voom all of us lust for. I love how dramatically it lifts and it actually holds that way all day long. I didn’t have any issues with it flaking or doing anything inappropriate while it was on my person.
The only difference I’ve found when I use the Subversion Lash Primer before Perversion is that I don’t need two coats of Perversion. I can do one coat Sub, one coat Perv and I’m good to go.
