My daughter sees me painting my nails a lot. If you have kids (boy or girl, because my son used to be wanting to paint his nails too but now that he’s 8 he’s too cool) you know that monkey see monkey do and every time my daughter sees me painting my nails, she needs hers done as well. The words parents and paranoid go hand in hand and that definitely stretches to nail polish. I wanted her to begin using safe nail polishes that are also kid-friendly. Enter Piggy Paint Nail Polish.

Because we have a lot of holiday parties coming up it was definitely time for a mother/daughter mani day. We got right down to business and because it’s impossible to choose just one color we went for all four – LOL (pink), Mer-maid in the Shade (Blue), Glitter Bug (silver glitter) and Fairy Fabulous (Lilac). On Lydia I painted each nail different shades and added dots for an accent nail. What mani is complete without Glitter? This was used as a top coat on all of the nails.

Because she’s just like mommy she did the same type of mani on me. As you can see she’s still learning but I think she did pretty darn well with those dots!

We had so much fun with these duos I’ll definitely be making sure that Santa slips a few more into her stocking, particularly the awesome gift sets that are available this holiday season. Imagine the festive designs we can create when we’re snowed in!
