This year was
thee year. The year I finally sent out a
real Christmas card. (See my "e"-efforts over the past couple years
here &
here.) I think deep down inside I was waiting until we finally had a baby to send out a card, so I had been looking forward to this for quite some time. But the most amazing part was that I did not even procrastinate this little endeavor of mine. We took photos one afternoon, that same evening I put together a little design in photoshop, and the next day I was getting them printed. It was a whirlwind! I'm the world's biggest wait-until-the-very-last-minute kinda girl (ask Aaron), but I had these suckers stuffed & sealed & stamped by December 11th. Kind of a huge milestone for me.
A week or two before I made the cards, I found myself singing the song "The Christmas Waltz" to myself often, and loving the line "
may your new year dreams come true", so I chose to use that in our card. Back in January of this year, my only wish was to have a baby & start a family with Aaron, something I had been dreaming of for a long time. And here we are with our little Wyatt. It will be a very merry Christmas indeed.
P.S. Wyatt's got a grouchy face in this photo, so hopefully everyone that got a card has either seen Wyatt in person, or seen him in other photos so they know how darn handsome & sweet he really is! ;)
