My Current Skin Care Routine (Oily & Acne Prone Skin) | Video

I couldn’t live without skincare. Although I find it a bit boring, my super oily and acne prone skin needs taming with the right products. I’m always getting new skin products to try and I’m always pretty hesitant to take the leap of faith in fear that I’ll break out from it. I also break out a lot due to hormones, so I need additional products to help blemishes go away quickly. Here’s a peek at what products I’m currently enjoying and use on a nightly basis:

  • Simple Cleansing Facial Wipes: The best wipes to remove makeup without stinging eyes.
  • Medicell Labs Brightening Foaming Face Wash: This face wash is great for exfoliating and has a tingly foaming sensation and great citrus scent!
  • Pixi Glow Tonic Beauty Elixir: An exfoliating toner with glycolic acid to gently slough off dead skin cells and brighten skin.
  • Dermalogica Age Reversal Eye Complex: Almost done with this eye cream- it’s good at moisturizing but it isn’t a miracle worker. I wish it would have got rid of my milia!
  • REN ClearCalm 3 Replenishing Night Serum: This gel cream is a great moisturizer that helps combat acne.
  • Radical Skincare Advanced Peptide Antioxidant Serum: I like to use this in combination with the REN serum to add a bit of extra moisture so my skin doesn’t dry out from all of the acne treatments and exfoliating. I don’t think it’s worth the price tag, though.
  • X Out Spot Corrector: I spot treat my acne with this sulfur treatment and find that it helps, but can be drying. I love sulfur to get rid of acne!
  • Proactiv Skin Purifying Mask: Another product with sulfur! This mask is similar to Proactiv Refining Mask (which I actually prefer), but works essentially the same as a great overnight spot treating mask.

I’m always getting new products to try out, so my routine changes pretty often. But, this one has stuck around since June, so I thought it was time to show it! Let me know in the comments what skincare products you love, I’d love to hear!
