Holy Frickin'Holga 135 and X-PRO'D Velvia, Bat Man!

So, once upon a time (last summer) I shot a roll of Velvia in my Holga 135. I took it to Walgreens to get developed and they said, 'No way, Jose.' I was bummed. I tried convincing them by letting them know that, no, the pictures would not come out "clear" as they so put it, but that they would simply have more contrast and have color shifts. No, it won't hurt your chemicals, I also said. But they refused, and so I set in my 'to be developed box' for six months.
Well, I moved in with my boyfriend since then, and thus I moved to a different county, and now I go to a different Walgreens. At this Walgreens they said "Sure, no problem." And finally I got to x-pro my first roll. Results first, then thoughts.
Holga 135 / Fuji Velvia 100RVP

First off, I'd like to say this: Note that that’s a Holga 135, NOT a Holga 135bc. I’ve read that the regular 135 doesn’t vignette, and if you want vignettes, you HAVE to get the bc. Granted, I’ve only run two rolls through mine, but I think it vignettes just fine, and it’s way cheaper than the bc version. Not EVERY picture has that oh-so-sought-after black frame with the 135, but I've read that the bc doesn't produce it every single frame either. I guess my point is, I'd bet it's worth it to save that extra money you'd spend on the bc and put it toward film. Here's a few of my examples with the 135 from my first roll, if anyone who comes by is interested. Just my proverbial two cents.
Annnnyway, so my first roll of cross processed film (if you have no idea what the hell that is, in a nutshell, processing slide film in color negative chemicals or vice versa. Typically the former). I'm fairly pleased and surprised. I expected more greens/blues than reds, but after doing some reading apparently fuji slide films when x-pro'd shift toward red. Typically, I'd kind of hate this but I like it in this case. I don't think I'd want to do it all the time, or even half the time, but it's definitely something I plan to experiment with in the future.
I've still got a few rolls to develop from this summer (some 120 shot in my Diana, some black and white in my Pentax K1000 and a disposable underwater camera) that I keep putting off but need to get around to...I was surprised by almost all of the pictures on this roll, because I couldn't remember what I'd shot!
Well this is getting not only picture heavy, but a bit long winded, so I'm gonna wrap it up. Have you ever tried cross processing your film? If you have, leave a link in the comments, I want to see!
