Review – Teeny Tiny Smashbox Full Exposure Travel Palette @Smashbox

Smashbox Full Exposure Travel Palette can be purchased at Sephora for $22

Travel Palette is about the size of a standard business card and just a pinch thicker. (see more photos below for comparison sizing)

Smashbox came out with the Full Exposure palette awhile ago which is full size neutral palette, then in the summer they came out with the travel version and then recently this winter, they came out with the Double Exposure with more purple tones. Well I picked up this teeny tiny palette on my summer travels in Minnesota.

I was never inclined to get the full version but I was just drawn to the compactness of this palette and the overall color combination. I feel like this is so perfect for traveling, the pans are still a adequate size, and the formula is very good.

This set contains:
- 4 x 0.026 oz Shimmer Eye shades in Chocolate Brown/Golden Pearl, Soft Gold/Golden Silver Pearl, Light Tan/Golden Silver Pearl, Mid-Tone Slate/Silver Pearl
- 4 x 0.026 oz Matte Eye shades in Matte Warm Chocolate Brown, Soft Matte Mid-tone Tan, Creamy Matte Beige, Ashy Dark Brown

Eye shadows swatched on my arms without primer according to palette layout

I feel like even though the description says that’s there’s only two types of finishes that you really get 2 glitters shimmers, 2 shimmers and 4 mattes. I love the matte shades because they are super smooth, silky and not chalky at all. They are great for crease work. The shimmers are also very nice. The shimmer brown / peach I find do have more noticeable glitters flecks in the formula. They require a bit more work but are useable. I think this is great for day time or office appropriate color scheme. Also with the darker shades you can easily transition to night look as well.

Comparison sizing – my Google Nexxus 4 against the travel size palette

This palette is a ace travel palette! It is about the size of a standard business card. You can easily fit it in your pocket, clutch or travel bag. The palette is made of sturdy plastic, it does have a small mirror and very solid closure.

So if you are looking for good value and lots of product…well honey this isn’t for you. You should probably look at the full size palettes. However, if you love miniatures and need something quick for on the go touch ups, this would be a option to look at.

Overall, I really like this palette because of the color combination, minimal packaging and I find it still maintains a good pan size to fit a normal size eye brush. I guess also because it is so small, I find it so cute and it makes me smile when I use it.
