Liza Lou’s fantastic kitchen!

If you ever worked with beads in your life time – making patterns, necklaces or decorations you know it’s tedious work. Patience is should be your middle name when you work with anything small in an arty way, especially beads, as you have to sew them on to stuff…

Well, this will blow your mind, Liza Lou makes life size art out of beads… Each bead in this life-size replica kitchen was placed individually by hand over FIVE long years, using nothing but some tweezers and impressive precision.

And when the kitchen was finally completed, she started on project number two, Backyard, which features individually beaded blades of grass (250,000 of them!)

Honestly, I can’t get my head around it, this is really quite something…
