Radical Skincare Multi-Brightening Serum + Skin Perfecting Screen SPF 30

It may seem like a distant memory as I write this on a rainy Saturday afternoon but the sun can play all sorts of havoc with your skin if you don't protect it. It's best to wear sunscreen daily as part of your skincare regime and another vital step (in my skincare regime anyway) is serum. I have definitely noticed a change in my skintone since incorporating a layer of serum before applying my moisturiser. In the spirit of Summer and to fight the ageing effects of the sun, here are my thoughts on the Multi Brightening Serum and Skin Perfecting Screen from Radical*.

Radical is a brand from the USA which develops products that are potent, with their mission being to provide maximum effectiveness in their products that can be used on even the most sensitive of skins. These are luxury products that deliver when it comes to skincare. The Multi Brightening Serum is developed to fight 7 unidentified signs of ageing and dark spots, repairing pigmentation and signs of ageing to leave you with uniform, luminous skin. What I liked about this product was its lightweight texture. It absorbed beautifully onto the skin leaving it soft and glowing. It wasn't sticky like other serums I have tried and I was able to apply make up soon after. Both products contain Radical's Trylacel technology which is a suspension technology developed to retain the power of antioxidants to maximum levels for quick and increased benefit to the skin.

Following application of the serum (above), I used my usual moisturiser and then followed it up with the Radical Skin Perfecting Screen SPF 30 which was also lightweight and easy to apply. It was slightly tinted and blended well to leave my skin feeling really soft and smooth and matte. Giving me a perfect base to apply my foundation, safe in the knowledge that I had sun protection on. It's a non-chemical sunscreen, providing high sunburn protection, protects against UV damage and has light diffusing particles which blurs the appearance of fine lines and imperfections on the skin. Pop Sugar described it as "Photoshop in a tube!"

I used both of these products for several weeks and also whilst on a rather warm city break to Berlin and my skin was protected with my make up staying in place over the top of the sunscreen without separating, fading or leaving marks. It's really important to care for your skin whilst in the sun to avoid any damage and I would definitely recommend investigating these products to make sure you can have fun in the sun! Now, if it would just show it's face more up in Scotland I'd be a happy lady!
