The Worst Way To Waste Your Time

I can find endless ways to waste time. Browsing the internet, daydreaming and even sleeping are just a few ways I have been known to waste away a day or two. Once in a while, I need some pointless time wasters to help my brain rejuvenate.

Although I rarely feel good about myself when I let my “inactivity” get the best of me, the absolute worst way to waste time, whether seconds or hours is by worrying.

Worrying will consume you, cause distress, ruin you day, put a scowl on your face, give you gray hairs, and more… yet through it all, you get nowhere. By worrying, you are simply being a martyr for punishment. I say all this with absolute certainty.

For the past 2 weeks, I allowed my worries to get the best of me. It was like traveling through a downward spiral. By allowing yourself to dwell on things you cannot control, nor have definitive answers to, you become weaker, thus letting more and more things you cannot control consume you, in turn, you not only forget to enjoy the little things in life, you barely notice the amazing things that are staring you in the face.

Will you take an oath today to let yourself enjoy each moment you have and not worry about the things that aren’t even real yet?
