Easter 2014. Easter came a day early this year. Although we were missing a few family members (including my hubby), the girls and I still had a wonderful day.
Although most of my family members live continents away, I feel blessed to have family nearby. Growing up, I remember feeling lonely during the holidays since my parents and I were the only ones living on the East Coast. Although our family members did visit every few years, I don’t remember any of them coming during the holidays. I promised myself before I had children that I would make sure that my children wouldn’t have to go through the same thing as I did. Fortunately, I was able to keep that promise.
Our Pre-Easter was perfect. The weather was beautiful, the kids were in great spirits, the food was delicious, and our annual Easter egg hunt ended with children grinning from ear to ear. The eggs were filled with yummy candy and a few dollar bills or “bucks” as Julia likes to call them. Does your family follow any Easter traditions? I know I’ll never get bored with Easter Egg hunts! How about you?
