Nails of The Day: Essie's Bahama Mama + Sally Hansen Black Nail Art Studs
Like so many of the other topics lacking on the blog lately, nails of the day has been one scarcely visited since way back in April. It's not that I haven't switched up my polish per say. It has been mostly due to no polishes really striking me as anything special in the months since. I have also been really sticking to some of my old polishes that have already been featured here in an effort to get through some product and purchase new ones. When it rains it pours though, so be prepared to see another awesome nail related post pretty soon with a video to go along (spoiler!).
Now lets talk about this gorgeous fall polish that I've had in my collection for years now and yet haven't ever shared here. It's by Essie and it's called Bahama Mama which is funny since my favorite bronzer from The Balm is called by that very same name! If you love those wine colored purple shades on your lips and nails during this time of year then I guarantee you will love this one. It's opaque in two layers and dries really speedily. It also lasts on the nails for at least 5 days if you aren't doing any serious dish washing. Even after washing the dinner dishes last night without any gloves, I was happily surprised to see no chips at all.
Something I haven't dappled in much in a while is nail art of any sort and I hadn't played around with those Sally Hansen Nail Art Studs in months. I pulled out the black ones and decided to dot one onto each nail after applying this purple polish. To do so, I used a little bit of nail glue and a dotting tool and I have to say I am super impressed that none of them have popped off yet. I love how it turned out and I have to say this is probably my favorite manicure of the year.
