Serves 4
1/2 Cups Water
2 TBSP Maple Syrup
1 Handful Fresh Mint (for steeping)
20 Fresh Mint Leaves (for tearing and swirling in drink)
1/4 Cups Fresh Lemon Juice
1 Cup Bourbon
6 Large Peels of Orange
In a medium sauce pan, heat water till it comes to a simmer.
Remove from heat and dissolve the maple syrup.
Add mint leaves and steep for 5 min.
Strain.
In a small pitcher mix lemon juice, bourbon, and a slice of orange for garnish.
Add mint simple syrup.
In each cup place crushed ice, a few torn mint leaves and a twist of orange peel. Pour over ice.
