Two struggling pals dress as police officers for a costume party and become neighborhood sensations. But when these newly-minted “heroes” get tangled in a real life web of mobsters and dirty detectives, they must put their fake badges on the line.

My enthusiasm for New Girl died last night (if you watched the ep, you know why) but let’s cheer to a Jake Johnson and Damon Wayans Jr. outing as New Girl's Nick and Coach pretend to be some guys named Ryan and Justin and cops to get all the perks that go along with it (who knew there were some many?). The movie has potential with all it’s slo mo action and physical comedy. As Let’s Be Cops was shot here in Atlanta where I reside, it provided me with a lot of Damon Wayans Jr sightings (sadly, none of JJ. Why you avoiding me, kid?).

Let’s Be Cops costars Vampire Diaries’ Nina Dobrev and opens in theaters August 13th.
