French Skincare Wishlist

Next week I’m going away on a much needed holiday. It’s not been too long since my last one but I honestly feel like I need another break, so I’m going to the South of France to stay with some relatives and I’m super excited as I love where they live. It’s so relaxing and it’s just food, sunshine and easy living which I think will be some good therapy for my anxiety and the chronic hustle and bustle of English city life.

Another reason I’m really excited is the unbridled access I’ll have to French skincare, I’ve got a rather long shopping list for when I’m over there but here’s a condensed version of what I really want! A lot of these products you will have heard of and can get over here, but not only are they cheaper over there, it’s hard to build a wishlist of things you’ve never used or not yet discovered! I’m hoping I’ll discover some new treasures whilst I’m there as well as tried and trusted favourites, and I’ll probably do a haul once I’m back so I can show you new discoveries! Exciting!

1. Cattier Clay Face Mask
I heard about this firstly on Amelia’s blog, but she had purchased the one for dry skin and I think with my skin being oily this one is probably better suited. I’m hoping it will agree with my skin as well as I think generally French skincare is very gentle so I won’t have problems with it irritating my skin.

2. Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse
I think this is probably quite a hyped up product and it is purely on my list out of curiosity as I’m notorious for not using body moisturisers/oils and the like. However as I’ve heard it’s a dry oil and it has a beautiful scent I’m hoping it will be enough for me to use on a regular basis!

3. La Roche Posay Serozinc
I think this is probably on most peoples wishlist but I’ve heard great things and the fact that you can’t get it over here makes it all the more desirable. I think it will definitely help with keeping my skin under control and I’ll probably be coming back with a can…or three.

4. Bioderma Sebium Micellar Water
I always need micellar water and have about half a bottle of this left, having been predominantly using my Garnier Micellar water, but I want to perhaps grab a couple of bottles while it’s cheaper over there.

5. Embryolisse Lait-Creme Concentre
In all honesty this is probably an item I’m wanting purely for the hype/curiosity. I’m not entirely sure where in my beauty routine it will go- being quite a rich cream- but I do get dry skin on my elbows so if it turns out that it doesn’t agree with being on my face I can always use it for that.

6. Caudalie SOS Thirst Quenching Serum
I love this stuff, it’s honestly one of my holy grail skincare products so I cannot wait to get my hands on it. I’m currently squeezing the last few drops out of my current bottle so I definitely need to stock up!

7. Bioderma Sebium Mat Moisturiser
I’ve been on a bit of beauty use up and I’ve manage to finish all my moisturisers. I’ve had my eye on this bioderma one for a while as I think it’d be perfect for my skin- giving me the moisture I need without turning my face into an oil slick.

There are a few others on my list, like Homeoplasmine and Biafine so this is definitely not an exhaustive list. What’s your favourite French skincare and what’s on your wishlist?
