Notable New Releases for the Week of December 1, 2014

Happy December, bookworms! To my American friends, I hope you enjoyed the Thanksgiving holiday. Here’s a small but exciting selection of new releases to kick off the holiday season (I’ll just pretend I haven’t already been watching Christmas movies for the last month…). We’ve got a new short story from Haruki Murakami, cozy mysteries from Cleo Coyle and Rose Pressey, and a new addition to the Dark Angels series from Keri Arthur. Alice Clayton has the latest in her Cocktail series (I hear endlessly good things about that) and Jill Shalvis has a holiday story available. There’s also Lisa Mantchev’s Ticker in young adult, new work from Abbi Glines in new adult, and a few interesting nonfiction releases, including Tracy Borman’s look at the life of Thomas Cromwell and Brent Phillips’s biography of Charles Walter. And among the paperback releases are Dan Simmons’s The Abominable and Nina Stegal’s The Anatomy Lesson (complete with a lovely new cover). Enjoy!
