Who “runs” Run This Year?

Many runners! Including me!

Click out the team on this page and you can visit everyone’s blogs or chat with them on Twitter or Instagram!

You definitely need to join in the fun on Instagram – that’s where you’ll find me behind the scenes – Tag your running posts with #RunThisYear

Run This Year was originally created in 2013 by Running Hutch and Pavement Runner. Running Hutch continues to lead the new team managing all of the different social outlets.

Kick of the year with an inspiring Twitter chat on January 9th at 6PM PST. Follow @RunThisYear on Twitter and make sure to use #RunThisYear. See you there!

For the record – My goal for the year is to enjoy running and not stress myself out. I’m going to be the one out there cheering for everyone who is running to enjoy the run (which I think is everyone!). Running the year in miles isn’t going to happen for everyone, me included, but I’ll be out there running and cheering everyone on.

In 2013, I ran about 262 miles, there was a lot of time off for injury, so I think I can double that and take on a goal of 10 miles per week. I think that’s very doable for me and is where I’ve already gotten myself to with weekly mileage. I hope this will keep me in a place that is hopefully injury free and full of lots of fun miles.

For the record – in 2013 I also walked 98 miles, cycled 417 miles and did 55 hours of other workouts. Not too bad of a year!
