Vega Bars Review

Disclaimer: I was provided the opportunity for a Vega Bars Review through my affiliation with Fit Approach as a Sweat Pink Ambassador. All opinions are my own.

I was recently given the opportunity to try out the new Vega Bars. I love to have easy snack options and these bars are Non-GMO, plant based with no artificial ingredients. My kind of bar! Vega has a complete line of nutrition products and the company is just releasing this line of bars.

I was sent two flavors of each of the 4 types of bars.

I love looking at an ingredient list that is full of real food – and the bars are yummy!

and Sea Salt Vega Snack Bar

There are 4 types of bars – each with natural ingredients but with different a different nutritional focus.

The Vega Snack Bar is my favorite – by far. I tried the Cranberry Almond and the Dark Chocolate, Mixed Nuts and Sea Salt flavors. The Dark Chocolate bar is awesome. I was with some friends when we tried it and my friend had a Kashi Chewy Granola Bar – Chocolate Almond and Sea Salt Flavor and we had a very unofficial and non-scientific taste test. It wasn’t even close, the Vega Snack Bar was so much better. We could taste the real ingredients and the bar was crunchy and flavorful. And super filling. The Cranberry Almond Flavor is equally yummy, it’s a little less sweet.

The Vega One Bar is my second favorite. The flavor is good and the bar is filling (half a bar worked for me as an afternoon snack). I did get the feeling I was eating something plant-based. I don’t know how to explain it and it wasn’t a bad flavor, it just tasted a little ‘green’. Which is clearly a good thing for people who are on a plant based diet.

I was pleasantly surprised by the Vega Sport Energy Bar – With all natural ingredients of apples and cherries, you can see and taste every morsel. I’m used to a crunchy bar, and this one is rather soft, but I was really pleased with the flavor. I had this bar as a snack one evening when I was going for a long walk and dinner was going to be pretty late. Hit the spot. (picture is from Vega)

You can buy Vega Bars at many of your local natural foods stores – use their store locator to find one - Sprouts and Whole Foods are two options in my area.

I hope you enjoy the Vega Bars as I did. Let me know if you try them out or if you already have.
