11.12.13
Last week I turned 27! I think I can now officially say I'm in my "late twenties". It was a very happy birthday--everything is happier and brighter and better now that I have my little bug with me every day. It also fell on a very cool date this year--11.12.13!
Even though we both had to work all day, Katrina made it special by taking me out to an early breakfast--my favorite!
I got adorable gifts
On top of breakfast, I was treated to a soft pretzel from Pat's Philly Pretzels, a gourmet cupcake from The Flying Cupcake and dinner at Bosphorus Cafe, a delicious Turkish restaurant I've been wanting to try.
AND we also went to see Wicked!! Katrina had never seen a broadway show before... and she was blown away. I believe her exact words were "I wanted to cry it was so good". I felt the same.

As a present to myself, I have been working on my blog! Still polishing it up a bit, but you get the idea. I updated "The Story", consolidated links & blogroll under "More!", and simplified some things. Posts will now generally fall into 1 of 4 categories:
Life & Love - updates on my personal life
Lesbian Times - topics related to LGBT current issues, esp. L, current events...etc.
Homemaking - recipes, crafts and other fun around the house
Reviews - book reviews, but also movies, TV and anything else I think is share-worthy
I hope to start updating more regularly again. I am 27 now, after all, and updating my blog seems like the responsible, late-20s thing to do.
