Caudalie Divine Oil: A Heavenly Concoction Captured in a Bottle

I recently received a small travel-size bottle of the Caudalie Divine Oil from a dear friend and was really delighted by the gift. The Divine Oil has been on my wishlist for a really long time but I still have the Nuxe, Nivea and The Body Shop oils to finish up so I shelved the Divine Oil aside as a future purchase.

As you can see, I have absolutely no willpower and succumbed to the irresistible appeal of Caudalie and decided to just bite the damn bullet and got myself a full-sized bottle.

I love the luxurious feel and scent of good body oils and Caudalie’s Divine Oil is no exception. I was completely sold on the scent alone, it is a warm amber with floral and herbal tones. I realise this type of scent is not everyone’s cup of tea and in comparison to the Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse or the TBS Coconut Oil, the Divine Oil does not make me feel like throwing a beach party each time I apply it.

Since it is a dry body oil, which suits my personal preference, I do not experience any heaviness or overly slick feeling. I find it absorbs pretty well into skin but not as quickly as the Nuxe one. It absorbs better on lightly damp skin so it is the perfect accompaniment when you come out of a shower or bath.

The Divine Oil is also meant to be a multi-purpose oil and it can be used on hair, face and body. I have tried it on all three areas but I still like to reserve it for my body alone. I just have other facial and hair oils I prefer using. It leaves my skin really soft and smooth and does not aggravate the eczema patches on my legs.

The tall bottle comes with a nozzle spray and it dispenses very well while allowing more control. There is a grape motif embossed on one side and this actually helps provide some traction when you hold the bottle so that it doesn’t slip off as easily. This is especially important since you’re dealing with glass and an oily product. As for the mini version, I will use it when I travel and will refill from the bigger bottle when it runs out.

If you like smelling like an expensive spa and enjoy body oils, I’d highly recommend checking out the Caudalie Divine Oil. The Divine Oil comes in three sizes; the tall bottle contains 100ml and costs RM130 whilst the smaller bottle (limited edition) contains 15ml for RM40. There is a 50ml option too and I think it costs around RM90 (I may be wrong). You can find Caudalie products at Sephora or Ken’s Apothecary in Malaysia.
