Top Monthly Picks: February (And January) Favourites

I decided to revive my monthly favourites post just as a recap to remind myself what beauty products I have been obsessed with in the previous month. Some of these products may be new acquisitions and some of them have been in my stash for a while. I have combined both January and February for now because I forgot to do one last month.

Y’all know by now that I have a real obsession with the newly released Revlon Colorburst Lacquer and Matte Balms. Seriously good stuff and I like the fact that the finishes are rather different. The formula is smooth and wear time is pretty decent for a balmy lipstick thing. I’d highly recommend checking them out if you have not done so already.

I blogged about the Clinique eye primer just last week and this has earned some Holy Grail status amongst all eye primers I own and have tried in the past. It helps my eyeshadows last a very long time without creasing. If you have oily lids, this eye primer may be something you need.

I think I purchased the L’Oreal Lucent Magique Primer quite a long time ago but never really got around to using it until recently. This face primer gives a beautiful glow-from-within skin if you apply below a foundation and can act as a lovely and subtle highlighter if you apply over foundation. I wouldn’t suggest this to very oily skin though because it does not help with oil control and may in fact make your face look more shiny.

Okay, this is not a beauty product but OMG has it helped with my workout routine. I came across the SheFit Sports Bra on Kickstarter last year and immediately told le hubby to pledge for it (he has a Kickstarter account). I received my bra in January and have been extremely happy with it. It helps reduce (and in some cases, eliminate) bounce, which can be painful if you have large breasts. The adjustable shoulder and back straps can help with getting the right fit you need. The only downside is that is costs US$70 each and can only be ordered online. This means that you will not be able to try it on unless you purchase it, so get your measurements and sizing right before getting one.

My last favourite for this round-up is a food related item. I got this tin of Tivoli Blueberry & Coconut Cookies from Cold Storage a few weeks ago. It is a dry-ish biscuit but packed with lots of coconut and blueberry flavour without being overly sweet. Each cookie is approximately 36cal, which makes it a relatively low-calorie snack unless you eat the whole tin in one go (not recommended). There are several different flavours available and each tin costs RM8.90.

So, what did you enjoy last month? Do you see any of your faves here too? Do pop in and share.
