random ramblings

So life here has been kinda busy and kinda slow. Busy in the sense that I'm not sure where time has gone. I watch the days go by on our calendar and honestly wish I could press pause. Slow because well - it's not like I've had some big adventure or huge project over the last few days - but every day is an adventure I've learned.
One of my nephews turned 5 a week ago. 5! I feel like I got the call and raced to hospital yesterday. And yet another of my nephews is turning 1 in a week! A whole year has gone by since I met his sweet face. Time, seriously. Cut us a break.
I'm in the process of planning Georgia's baby dedication and I get teary-eyed just thinking about it. Being with our family and making a commitment to show her Him. Point her in His direction always. Such an important task. A huge responsibility. I'm so thankful I get to be a parent with Matt.
One of my best friends in the entire world lives in a different time zone right now. She's working so hard on getting back closer. I pray every night it works out.

trying to show off the budding 3rd tooth to the right but she was such a wiggle worm!
Georgia has 3 teeth now. 3 teeth y'all. 3 bottom teeth at that! I always thought after the 1st two bottom came the 1st two top. Not for Miss G. I can already tell she has a mind of her own. I can also tell she's a passionate lady. When she's happy - she's reeeeeeeeeally happy. Like screaming, laughing, huge smile - just happy. But when she's sad - she's reeeeeeeeeeeeally sad. Like screaming on the other end, flailing her body every which way. I love that about babies though. There's very little in between on the things that make them happy and the things that make them sad. I hope she's always able to express her little emotions.
Matt and I did this last night. Basically, it was amazing. We love the food network and any cooking-related competition. And the fact that they support so many local farmers and businesses (they sold t-shirts made in NC with NC cotton!). I love it. And the food was superb. And the winner was a Wilmington Chef. SO FUN.
I love Valentine's Day. We don't do big gifts or any of that but we always eat something yummy, drink something yummy and exchange mushy cards (we are totally that couple that writes novels in each card we give). And this year Matt has his very own tiny Valentine! So thankful that my husband gets to show our baby girl what a man is supposed to be like. How he is supposed to treat a woman.
I have never been able to spell the word "supposed." It's wrong every time I try.

It's supposed to snow here again. WHAT THE HECK? I live in the south, by the ocean. I would like to place an order for sunshine and warm air. Thanks.
Happy Tuesday sweet friends. If you're having a great week, celebrate it. Tell someone you love them. Drink champagne tonight (or this morning). And if this week has started to get the best of ya, decide to redirect it. Go for a walk. Say a prayer. Change your mindset and be grateful for the things in your life.
So that was REALLY random. Ooooooops. Happy Tuesday!
