Sunflowers ~ Buttonwood Farm Sunflowers for Wishes.

It’s that very special time of year once again…time to visit the beautiful sunflower fields at Buttonwood Farm in Griswold, Connecticut. Come see the many acres of vibrant yellow sunflowers as the farm’s annual “Sunflowers for Wishes” which brings together families, photographers from all over and anyone who loves to spend time among the flowers for a worthy cause, raising money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Connecticut. You can take a hayride, buy bouquets of sunflowers and try their famous sunflower ice cream which is available to you only during this special event which continues through July 28th. I have been to this wonderful event before but unfortunately this summer has been extremely busy for me and I won’t be able to take the road trip. However…I still wanted to photograph some lovely sunflowers and was lucky enough to drive one mile from my house in Ellington Connecticut and found a field full of flowers.
