Hats off to my mentor (and old boss) Kim France for tipping me off to Still House, a new New York City shop that specializes in the sort of stuff that you’d absolutely buy as a gift—and then keep for yourself. It’s all really reasonably priced, despite the fact that it looks expensive, and it’s just off-beat enough to be memorable without ever blurring the lines of good taste. Know why else I’m jazzed? The owners of Still House seem to have a real affection of horsey stuff, which, well, always works for me. Our living room is lined with Breyer Horses, after all. They also have tons of jewelry from Julie Rofman, who will always be one of my favorites. Swoon.
