Outfit: Lines & Stripes

Happy hump day! Midterm week just passed and fortunately my studying paid off and all my exams turned out well. Too bad finals are in about a month so I'm not getting much of a breather until I jump right back in.

The classic fashion rule is that vertical lines make you appear taller and slimmer so this is one reason why I opted for this dress shirt ;) I also do love monochrome outfits and stripes in general too. The horizontal pocket lines cut off the vertical pattern in order to add a little twist so the outfit isn't so 2-dimensional and lackluster. Instead of pairing it with the typical black legging, I opted for my Forever 21 khaki pants to make it more work-friendly but also casual enough for after work drinks/lounging.
