Hariri International Airport

Life is all about separations and reunions, especially in Lebanon… You’ll meet people from the Bekaa who have never been to Tripoli and people from Batroun who have never seen Tyr. But you’ll rarely meet someone who hasn’t been to Hariri International Airport at least once in his life… The lower level is my favorite. Its entrance reads “Woussoul”, Arrival. There you can pick up your beloved ones or just new friends from abroad. The upper part is great too, it leads you to Berlin (my post here), Sharm el Sheikh (here) or even the Maldives (here)! However, you’re always leaving somebody behind… But then again, you’re greatful for the chance to leave, to change and see the world from a fresh new perspective. “In all beginnings dwells a magic force”, as says German poet Heinrich Heine.
