My Christmas Home 2014

WELCOME! Can you believe we are less than a week from Christmas Day? Are you ready?
I said this year I was going to keep things simple, but somehow it just isn't possible! I've managed to have just as many decorations placed throughout my home, and today I am sharing some of them with you!

Here my Christmas tree that sits in the corner of the living room and holds so many dear memories from years past.

Next to the tree sits a wooden sleigh I painted back in the 90's.

This mirror hangs in the entry and is the perfect place for my metal snowman.

The dining table is set with my Franciscan Apple dishes that I have been collecting for many years.

My snowman family centerpiece was purchased a long time ago at Filoli Mansion and Gardens in Woodside, California.

Cute, aren't they?

Of course the bar is ready for a Candy Cane Martini, glass of wine or a specialty cocktail or two!

The Santa painting here is called, "Santa Lights Up".
This was a project I taught back when I used to teach decorative painting classes.
I especially love my Christmas lamp I received from my girlfriend years ago.

This year I added a kitchen Christmas tree.

This here is a metal Christmas calendar I just love.
The snowman reminds me of Christmas when I was a child.

This Santa has an old wooden spoon used for his face. The ceramic Santa coat and pants are actually salt & pepper shakers and were a gift this year from my daughter.

Last is a simple Christmas greenery arrangement in my country cabinet
that stands in my kitchen eating area.

Along with the arrangement is a metal snowman
who holds a battery operated candle that comes on in the evening
and glows brightly through the stars.
