Step 1: Boy schedules date with skinny, hot, blonde chick he met on Tinder.
Step 2: Hot chick dresses up in fat suit.
Step 3: Boy gets pissed that fat chick at scheduled date does not look like the hot chick he saw on Tinder.
Step 4: Girl is shocked when boy is rude.
Never mind that anyone essentially tricked into meeting someone in whom they have no interest allowed to be angry and confused. Never mind that engaging in that behavior is unfair to all parties involved.
The truest way to experience what it’s like to be fat on Tinder isn’t to trick some jackass into meeting you – the worst thing any of the guys in the video did was excuse himself to the bathroom and never return – it’s to put yourself out there and see what messages you find every day. Vulgar messages are a given on Tinder no matter how you look, but it seems that bigger girls aren’t worth even the thin veil of tact.
Count how many guys ask about your bra size. Count the ones who call you big-boned. Wait to see how long it takes you to get a message letting you know that your ample ass is ripe for rear entry. (Yes, these are all messages I’ve personally received.)
Wait for the guy who tells you he wants to meet you not because he thinks you’re smart or interesting or attractive, but because you’re fat, desperate for love, and easy to get into bed. Oh, hadn’t you heard that fat automatically equals desperate and eager to please?
Make no mistake, boys, if a fat sleeps with you on a first date, she’s in it to please herself, not to keep you. You’re just lucky to catch her on a day when her body wants something beyond batteries.
Why do we continue to feign shock at these videos? The secret is out! Fat people are treated as less than non-fat people. Curvy women are subject to fetishistic stereotyping the same way Asian women are – goodness help the woman who falls into two fetishized categories. Make a rail thin woman wear fake breasts to a bar and be surprised that her drink order is taken first. Put a raven-haired tomboy in a blonde wig and a mini skirt, get confused when she’s hit on by men who normally wouldn’t look her way.
