Florals and hearts

One of my favourite post-pay day internet haunts is the Lashes of London £10 shop, which usually yields some unexpected treasures, like this Amalee Floral Skater Dress. I feel a little mean sporting a dress that's now out of stock, but one of the nice things about Lashes of London is they tend to have a few different items in the same fabric, which is great if, like me, you're not a coat hanger, so no matter how much you love a fabric, those barely-there hotpants just ain't gonna look good. This fabric reminds me of breezy spring meadows, and comes as a skater skirt, cropped bralet, cropped tee and a bodycon cut-out dress. I'm not sure it's going to make too many appearances in the near future (at least not in the office), but I've tasked Frank with the job of planning a date night worthy of its off-shoulder sweetheart neckline, which I think is so flattering. The neon pink piping gives it a little edginess too, although there's no escaping that this is one very twee frock.

I'm also wearing a cute laser-cut heart gemstone necklace that was kindly sent to me by Sugar and Vice. The website is overflowing with quirky pendants, from magpies, badgers and Scrabble pieces to storm clouds, jellyfish and even teeth.

Dress: Lashes of London (sold out) | necklace: Sugar and Vice* (£11) | boots: George at Asda (sold out)

I couldn't write this post without including a picture of the box that the necklace came in. Isn't it gorgeous?
