Animalier is always fashionable!
It’s a fad that will never end; even when it seems it’s going to disappear from runways, magazines and at least in our closets, leopard skin returns; always!
Although it is not easy to wear this print, and above all to match it, whenever some designer proposes it during fashion weeks, all the windows are filled with leopard garments. But beware, the chance to blunder is always around the corner!
So here for you some examples about how leopard has been presented (ranging from skirts to pants, coats and sheepskin coats) by fashion houses during the fashion show Fall Winter 2014.
Balmain has created jackets, skirts and tops with animalier texture combining with monochromatic pieces in order to make the leopard garments the most importatnt part of the outfit.
Isabel Marant Etoile, instead, has made skirts and blouses in chiffon, and dresses, short and long up to the feet, in crêpe.
Dolce & Gabbana has designed knit cardigan and tops, but not only, indeed the Sicilian brand has also produced accessories with the leopard print such as gloves and bags (an example is the Miss Sicily Tote).
Chloè has interpreted the press in a new way: the fashion house has changed the colours, a mix of green, red, yellow and blue characterize the texture combined with beige, white and burgundy garments.
Gucci, unlike the other houses, has paid homage to this print applying it also on accessories; it has also created garments with clean, simple lines, adding leopard print to give them greater prominence.
In conclusion, the only advice I would give you is this: never “trashing” the leopard garments, sooner or later it will come back in fashion!

E’ una moda che non avrà mai fine; anche quando sembra che stia per sparire dalle passerelle, dalle riviste e in ultimo dai nostri armadi, il leopardato ritorna; sempre!
Nonostante non sia una stampa facile da indossare, e soprattutto da abbinare, ogni qualvolta qualche stilista lo proponga durante le settimane della moda, tutte le vetrine si riempiono di capi leopardati. Ma attenzione, la possibilità di incappare in un errore di accostamento è sempre dietro l’angolo.
Ecco quindi per voi alcuni esempi di come siano stati presentati dei capi leopardati (spaziando dalla gonna ai pantaloni, e dai pellicciotti ai cappotti) da case di moda durante le sfilate Autunno Inverno 2014.
Balmain ha realizzato giacche, gonne e top con la texture animalier abbinandoli a capi monocromatici al fine di rendere i capi leopardati il pezzo clou dell’outfit.
Isabel Marant Etoile, invece, ha realizzato gonne e bluse in chiffon, e abiti, corti e lunghi fino ai piedi, in crêpe.
Dolce & Gabbana ha disegnato cardigan e top in maglia, ma non solo, il marchio siciliano ha riservato la stampa leopardata anche agli accessori come guanti e borse (un esempio la Miss Sicily Tote).
Chloè ha voluto invece reinterpretare la stampa modificandone i colori: un mix di verde, rosso, giallo e blu caratterizzano la texture abbinata a capi beige, bianchi e bordeaux.
Gucci, diversamente dalle altre maison, ha voluto omaggiare questa stampa applicandola anche su accessori; ha inoltre realizzato capi con linee semplici e pulite, aggiungendo la stampa leopardata per dar loro maggior risalto.
In conclusione l’unico consiglio da tenere a mente è: mai “cestinare” i capi leopardati prima o poi torneranno di moda!
