Almost Ladylike

What a difference a good friend can make. Seriously, this was such a dreary day. It was raining non-stop (hence the ultra messy hair) and I felt like an absolute pile of crap. And so, I decided to wear a comfortable midi skirt and flat boots to my third day of Vancouver Fashion Week -- a look that I like to describe as "almost ladylike". I was so happy to once again have my amazing friend/photographer, Jessica, along with me to brighten my spirits and bring a smile to my face.

You see, this outfit is almost ladylike until you look at the boots. Also, the necklace and oversized blazer help ruin this image as well, but it's not until you get to the shoes that you get the whole effect. These are always my favorite looks.

These boots have easily been my most-loved this past year and you can really see the evidence of this on the scuffs on the toes. I'm not ready to give them up just yet, but hopefully I'll find a good replacement pair soon.
