Samantha Hoopes Makeup

Although it’s hard to remember, there was once a time when the name Kate Upton meant nothing. She was just a regular girl who happened to be hot. I remember when she became “famous” I knew she looked familiar, and it turns out she used to model for Beach Bunny Swimwear, a line of swimsuits and coverups that are beautiful (although expensive and clearly made for supermodels and not regular humans like myself).

Anyway, my point is that there will always be talk about who the next “it girl” will be, and my guess is Samantha Hoopes. Hoopes isn’t new to the scene- you may have seen her lately in a few Guess magazine campaigns as well as being featured as a Sports Illustrated Swimsuit rookie, but I believe she will take her career to a whole new level soon. So when she becomes the next Kate Upton, remember I said it first.

Choosing a favorite swimsuit or hairstyle of hers is quite hard, but I’ve stumbled upon a few makeup looks that are my favorites. Here’s how to recreate Samantha Hoopes makeup yourself.

To get Samantha’s look, you’ll need perfect bone structure. Just kidding- sort of. To mimic her glow, apply a matte bronzer like the Too Faced Milk Chocolate Soleil Matte Bronzer to the hollows of your cheeks, forehead and temples. The brushes that usually come with bronzers are crap, so I suggest investing in a quality brush made for contouring, like the Sephora Pro Angled Contour Brush.

If you weren’t blessed with naturally thicker arches, fill in your brows with Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade. The formula is easy to apply and will stay on all day. While on the topic of eyes, Samantha’s are smoky without going overboard. Apply a shimmery brown (not black- it’s too harsh) eyeshadow like the bareMinerals Eyecolor in “Drama” all over the lid up to the crease. Finish off with a few coats of a volumizing mascara, like the Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara. What a scandalous name, right?

The kicker in this look is the red-orange lipstick. Orange lip shades are hot this year, and a tint with red infused it in is easier to pull off. The classic NARS “Heat Wave” lipstick is the perfect shade. Apply as many coats as you’d like to get your ideal color and consistency.
