It’s my birthday today, and while my nails are still recovering from a ridiculously bad break I wanted to show you a polish that I got for my birthday. It was an early birthday present from my mum, hence why I have swatches on unbroken nails! Dior ‘Lime’ has been on my wish list for a while now, ever since it was released in fact. It was an LE that was never released in the UK, along with Mango and Pastèque (watermelon to you and me). I’d love the trio, but Lime was always the standout for me, so thanks mum for fulfilling a lemming!

And some nail art! I love this needle method because it’s so easy, the results aren’t supposed to be perfect and it’s quick. Also, I hate water marbling so this is a good alternative, with no mess.

Lime is lovely, as you’d expect from Dior. It’s one of those hybrid jelly/creme formulas, which makes it look a little bit squishy – perfect for a summery, fruity shade even if the weather isn’t playing along. Honestly, it’s August and I’m wearing tights today. Bright fuchsia tights, but still, tights. Anyway, I’m off to paint my birthday nails in another green Dior polish, but this time it will be a vintage polish, which might make it to the blog if I can work out a creative hand post to hide a break! Oh and thank you everyone for your birthday messages. I only have a small amount of (Very special) friends in real life – quality over quantity and all – but the nail community is definitely making me feel even more loved. xx
