Flocked.. and a Winner!

December 1
It's here! The season begins and I can't think of a better way to start the month than with a four day weekend.

I don't know about you but I really needed a few days of R&R.

Busy work schedules and lots of entertaining over the holidays requires we get going on the decorating. There is so much effort involved in all the decorating it's nice to be able to enjoy it for a few weeks.

A stop at my favorite nursery is first on the list. Here .. the colors and smells of the season.

When I get home, I'll fill various vessels with holly and pine and Amaryllis and Paper Whites are planted in mason jars and bowls.

In my crate I've placed mason jars filled with rock and Paper White Bulbs. I added pine and will add vintage Christmas bulbs.

With my orchids and all the bulbs I've planted, I may not use Poinsettia's this year.. but was tempted to pick a few of these up.

We found the perfect flocked tree!

I have to give my husband all the credit on this (his idea:)

It's been several years since we've had one and I love it!
.
Gorgeous trees .. all freshly flocked.

It's a wrap!

Staying in the spirit of the season, a little something warm to sip!
Mexican Coffee

We had a few lights put up and I'm working on the door and urns.

We enjoyed a relaxing weekend which included lots of eating:) our Macy's Day Parade, and football. Rival Universities played, and for those readers from WA state we are a HOUSE DIVIDED (our kids attended rival universities .. making it difficult to take sides)

We are wearing UW jerseys and showing a "W" victory!

We've had some snow in our local mountains. Layla has no pain or cold sensors..

We are an active family and some members will do anything for a picture.

And the winner is...

Leslie! Welcome back my friend. I have missed reading your blog and keeping in touch with you and all the beauty you bring. Glad to see you are up to blogging and sharing more lovely ideas. Your home is dressed for the season and it looks like you will be enjoying a warm holiday with family. I love your make up choices. The right brushes can make all the difference. I've been wanting to try a satin case so how fun that you have a giveaway of just that very thing. My fave for winter would be 'Nappuccino'. I also just realized they use the very same 'shopify' platform for saavy sleeper as I do for my boutique ( I know how much work and how much fun it is). Great giveaway Leslie! I will plan to share this on my blog and google . Welcome back....... xx, Heather

Email your contact info and I'll let Dale know who the winner is:)

I can't wait to hear about your weekend! Have you started decorating?
