First off, thank you so much for your kind words and thoughts. I was humbled by how many people reached out to me and I found a lot of comfort in hearing from all of you. We’re still waiting to hear more about the news we received and I can only hope for the best. Seeing my family yesterday was the perfect way to help me process my feelings, I’m so lucky to be able to drive a mere 15 minutes away to hug them tight.
Also, this news combined with wedding stress has lead to me conclude that I am in fact an emotional eater. The sheer amount of starch I have consumed in the last week is astronomical, and there have been a few meals where I just look at the empty plate in front of me and think “No one must ever know about this”. Lol. I need to get back into healthy eating and exercise regularly, STAT. Do you eat when you’re emotional?
In an effort to lift my spirits, Rob and I decided to watch Nightmare Before Christmas and carve our almost-late pumpkins. We didn’t get started until 10, so you can imagine how sleep deprived we are this morning. Anyhoots, here are our final products.
Lastly, my dear bloggy friend Allie (whose blog I miss reading so much, come back to us!) hosts her annual Howl-o-ween and luckily this year I snapped a pic of our pup in his costume early!
Tonight, we might roam around midtown looking for a fun bar to do something lowkey for Halloween. We actually have a Halloween party on Saturday and that’s when we’re doing our real costumes so pics of that are coming soon.
What do you have planned for tonight? Also, what’s your favorite candy/chocolate?!? Mine is always and forever Reeses… mmmm
